Who we are

CarbStrat is a boutique consultancy focused on carbon management and industrial decarbonization. We work with clients to address one of the most critical questions of our time: how to decarbonize energy and industrial activities in a timely, cost-effective, and sustainable manner.

About the founder

Rachael Moore has worked in the public and private sector on climate and decarbonization since 2011. She holds a PhD from the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris, where she studied CO₂ storage in basalts.

Today, as an independent consultant, Rachael serves the World Bank as a subject matter expert on carbon management and industrial decarbonization.

Previously, as an analyst at the International Energy Agency, Rachael authored the IEA CCUS Handbook: CO₂ Storage Resources and their Development and wrote CCUS content from a variety of other IEA publications. While at the IEA, and in collaboration with the Office of the Vice President of Nigeria, she designed a multi-year work program for CCUS in Nigeria.

Formerly, as a consultant at ARTTIC, she advised multinational companies on the development and finance of decarbonization projects in Europe.
