Who we are

CarbStrat is a boutique consultancy focused on carbon management and industrial decarbonization. We work with clients to address one of the most critical questions of our time: how to decarbonize energy and industrial activities in a timely, cost-effective, and sustainable manner.

About the founder

Rachael Moore founded CarbStrat in 2023 with the aim to accelerate the deployment of CCUS technologies around the world.

As an independent consultant, she supported the World Bank CCS Trust Fund during its final 18 months of operation and served as a CCUS subject matter expert.

As an analyst at the International Energy Agency, Rachael wrote the IEA CCUS Handbook: CO₂ Storage Resources and their Development and wrote CCUS content from other IEA publications. She also designed a multi-year CCUS development work program for the government of an African country.

As an innovation consultant with Arttic, she advised multinational companies on the development and finance of decarbonization projects and supported the drafting of Connecting Europe Facility-Energy and Innovation Fund grant applications.

Rachael holds a PhD from the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris, where she studied CO₂ storage in basalts.
